The Cooperating Agencies of this project are BCRC-SEA, SBC/UNEP and DOWA ECO-SYSTEM CO., LTD., Relevant governments and / or ministries of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and other stakeholders. The overall objective of this project is to establish the actual scheme of environmentally sound management of e-wastes, especially for end-of-life mobile phones. To achieve the overall objectives, the following activities will be undertaken: (a) Investigation of the current state of end-of-life mobile phones and e-waste in the following South-East Asian countries: Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. (b) Establishment and implementation of the pilot scheme for the collection and transboundary movement of end-of-life mobile phone between Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. Period of Implementation is December 2006 – March 2007
